My name is Joshua Whiteman. Born September 3, 2006 and lived in the Philippines for almost the rest of my life. I transferred here in Nevada recently as of January 10, 2025 to study in UNR after failing to be accepted in Japan. I was fascinated by Japanese culture and its aesthetics so I chose to study there as my first option but time was not on my side and the universities available at that time were not for foreigners. Now I’m a proud student of the wolf pack and I will continue living here as it benefits everyone and myself. My course is business in finance and I decided on this because of my Dad, Jon Whiteman, who taught me that in Finance, I can still make money whatever my work is. He is my first teacher on finance and the more I learned how this system works, I decided to reach a more ambitious goal. 

 

My hobbies are video games (console player), digital art while trying to expand to physical artistry, and martial arts since I got influenced by the fighting games genre. After much thinking, it got to me. Since my passion is more on the entertainment side and its industry is corrupted by AI and poor management, why not use knowledge in finance to help out the industry from the inside out. Before I never understood the importance of pure artistry and how magnificent it can be if done properly. With AI being the main product of the industry and poor management affecting the health of the workers, a shake up must happen sooner than later. All I wish to do is provide the necessary resources for underrated studios that have potential to create new IPs that are fun to play and user friendly; while also providing some solutions and suggestions to well known IP’s to make them better than what they are known for.
